The Hamburger Press is a classic Tupperware product that has been a favourite for many years. For some reason, Tupperware only features this product during the summer months, so if you’re wanting this item don’t wait to get it.
The Hamburger Press allows you to easily make quick, uniform patties with little mess. You choose the thickness of the patties with the 1½”/3.8 cm deep press. You can also prepare patties ahead of time and freeze for later, as each keeper holds up to 1/3lbs of uncooked ground meat.
Tip: To eliminate shrinking or raw-in-the-middle hamburger patties, make a “finger hole” in the middle of each before freezing. Burgers will cook evenly and shrink less.
On a recent camping trip I quickly learned the value of Tupperware’s durable containers. While we were tucked away in our tent the animals came out to wreak havoc on our campsite at night. We woke up to find our paper supplies shredded and some of our food had been eaten. The mice and squirrels ate through plastic bags and cardboard boxes with no difficulty, yet the supplies stored in Tupperware were untouched. The tight-fitting seals and thick plastic was no match for the forest’s residents.
Although we were in a tent this time and plan on using an RV for our next trip, I will definitely be using Tupperware to avoid any problems. I also learned that I will never go camping again without all of my supplies (both food and camping necessities) stored in Tupperware containers.
INGREDIENTS
1 (19.8 oz.) box brownie mix (plus ingredients on package)
1 Tsp. Cinnamon & Vanilla Seasoning Blend
2 Tbsp. espresso or regular instant coffee powder
Frosting
2 Tbsp. water
1 Tsp. vanilla extract
2 Tsp. espresso or regular instant coffee powder
11/2 cups powdered sugar
1 Tbsp. butter, softened
Preheat oven to 350°. Combine brownie mix and ingredients
on package as directed in the Mix-N-Stor® Plus Pitcher. Add
Cinnamon & Vanilla and coffee powder; stir until well blended
with Saucy Silicone Spatula. Pour brownie batter in 9″ x 13″
prepared pan and bake 30 - 35 minutes or until toothpick
inserted 2 inches from side of pan come out almost clean.
Cool completely. Dissolve 2 Tsp. of coffee powder in 2 Tbsp.
water in Mix-N-Stor® Plus Pitcher, add vanilla extract, powdered
sugar, butter and blend until smooth. Pour frosting over
the brownies.

Lately there has been much discussion in the media regarding the safety of Bisphenol A (BPA) in food and beverage containers, and many people want to know which Tupperware products contain BPA.
Tupperware has many extensive product lines and yet there are only a few products that contain BPA: Ice Prisms Bowls, Heat N Serve (base), Rock N Serve (base), Kitchen Duos, Microsteamer (base), Microwave Oval Cooker, Microwave Luncheon Plates, Quick Chef (base), and the Sheerly Elegant line.
The leaching of BPA from plastic occurs when the plastics are heated, so if you would like to err on the side of caution, simply avoid heating these containers. You can still safely use the containers for food storage and for freezing food.
1 Granny Smith Apple, cored and cut into wedges
2 Kiwis, peeled and cut in half
8 Strawberries
2 Tbsp. Apple jelly or Sugar to sweeten (Optional)
Combine all ingredients into the Quick Chef and turn handle until fruit is coarsely chopped. Do not over chop. Serve with Cinnamon Tortillas.
